HTC 10 Rumored to Launch on April 19
It's raining HTC rumors and leaks the past few days. Yesterday we saw several renders and leaked photos of the HTC 10, the rumored 2016 flagship from the Taiwanese company. The phone will feature a 5.15" QHD display, Snapdragon 820, USB Type-C, 4GB of RAM all with a premium build that looks a bit less like an iPhone than the One A9.
After dropping some renders yesterday, Evan Blass aka @evleaks dropped the tidbit that April 19 is nearly a lock for the launch date of the HTC 10. In the tweet Blass did not say if this would be the availability date or unveiling date, but launch sounds like the day you can purchase the phone, to me anyway. The leaked photos and renders also carried a date of April 19, so this lends further weight to Blass' prediction.
If HTC does release their flagship on Tuesday April 19, they will have plenty of competition. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge officially launch on March 11, with the LG G5 expected to follow soon behind with an early April in-store date. The only way HTC will truly compete in 2016 is to push out an amazing phone with much-improved camera. Even if they can accomplish this, they're going to need a lot of help from hardcore fans and some luck, maybe a lot of luck.
Are you willing to hold out until April 19 for the HTC 10 launch? Or will you get a S7, S7 Edge, or LG G5?
