Back in December 2015, Tag announced that their Connected Android Wear watch had sold so well that they were increasing production and stopping online sales to give physical boutiques a chance to sell the inventory. This is pretty common practice for high-end luxury goods, just perhaps not something we're used to seeing in the tech industry. I was pretty surprised that the watch sold so well, but it does look incredibly slick.

If you were interested in purchasing the Tag Heuer Connected online, today is your lucky day. Tag has placed the watch up for sale online once again. It seems that demand cooled down, or they just made a bunch more watches. Either way, you can now drop $1500 without ever seeing the watch and they will ship it to you (ground service of course).

I'm actually pretty interested in picking up one of these, but I have a hard time spending $1500 for something I've never touched. Especially when that something will be outdated in a few years. In addition, Tag practically plans on the watch becoming obsolete (by offering you a "traditional" watch as an upgrade in two years). In the end, I hope Tag sees the potential in the smartwatch space and continues the Connected line with proper upgrades in the future.
